PSYCHOLOGY OF OBAMA BUDGET
If one goes deep into the mood of Dr.Krugman, when he wrote this piece,if one analyse the focus of Obama budget, it can be summed up in one word – There was an ambiance of optimism one can see through their minds.
If one goes back a few days past and get into to the mails sent by American people from different stages to Obama, their concerns
were primarily, uncertainity of their future only.It was basically the fear of their dear ones falling sick. Hence the fear of not getting medical insurance updated.It was a genuine fear.
It was very satisfying to note Present Obama has risen to their expectation.In that process what Obama has achieved was restored certain level of confidence into the victims of current crisis.
Psychologically speaking one of the greatest fear of people who are doing well in their life is, the feeling of sick and not able to pay the medical bill.As a matter of fact the fundamental attributes of a great nation is providing universal health coverage for its citizens in the same way universal vaccination in developing countries.
In that sense providing health coverage will be boosting self confidence of Americans to a new level.One of the fundamental problem identified by by economists in the current crisis, was that people were not spending enough.It was caused by fear of future. Falling sick and not being able to get medical care was one of the key fear factor.
In one act we can certainly see people becoming more relaxed.Any economic problem can be managed by people themselves if some stimulus is provided. But when one’s dear falls sick and one is is incapable of providing medical care is a killing experience.That destroys one’s self confidence. In current crisis there were millions who faced that painful situation.
The economic reality of America is that America has still enough wealth to provide basic human support systems to its citizens.
As Krugman’s piece highlighted through this step Obama has fundamentally changed the course of her journey.
Science of life teaches that whether an individual or a nation when the long term goal is visualized clearly and the priorities or right processes are accurately defined half the task of journey is done.In that process the short term is also automatically fine tuned to help reaching the goal post.
Krugman has accurately noticed that it was a break from immediate past. It is a 100% creative act. It is 100% focussed decision.It will keep people active. It will restore self confidence of Americans, who are victims of current crisis to a great extend.
I am sure it will be celebrated across America for its impact will be that people will be living relatively a relaxed life.
Its global impact will be that other countries will be encouraged to provide universal health care to their citizens.
So we can say now that what is good for America is good the world too. What a great transformation… ? Another great Obama Effect.
